Coaching With Kathy
First, a few things you should know about me:
  • I’m a specialist. I’m an avid student of coaching systems, online marketing, and sustainable business models. The intersection of those three things is where I do my best work.

  • I ask LOTS of nosy, uncomfortable questions. My job is to know enough to ask the right questions to help you get to your goal in the fewest number of steps; your job is to dig deep and use your imagination, especially with the questions that aren’t so easy to answer.

  • I have a few tricks up my sleeve, some shortcuts to take and pitfalls to avoid. But sorry, no “Easy” button, no sexy six-figure formulas, no secret hokus pokus going on behind the curtain. Also, I cannot do the work for you. (Even if I could, I wouldn’t.)

But that’s okay, because it’s not about taking the easy way out. It’s about getting into high gear about the stuff that matters the most: making a difference with your coaching biz.
How to tell if this is right for you

First, be sure to read the “Is This You?” page
to make sure it IS you. Then check out the prerequisites listed below to make sure both you and your business are ready for me and my coaching.

If you have questions or want to talk about your situation before making a decision, I’d be happy to meet with you by phone for a free initial consultation -- no cost, no sales pitch and no obligation, I promise. Request a free 20-minute consultation

If you’d like to sample coaching with me before making a long-term commitment, you also have the option of signing up for a Strategy Session.

No-risk guaranteeThe Strategy Session comes with a 100% guarantee of satisfaction, so if you find that our session wasn’t what you expected, you get ALL of your money back, no questions asked. And you can keep the materials, too.

Prerequisites
There are a couple of 'must-haves' when I work with private clients. They are what they are because I want to give you the best possible support I can, and I've learned that I do my best work with people who meet these minimum prerequisites:
  1. You need to be an established coach. As in: been coaching, done the biz building basics, and got the paid coaching hours to prove it.

If you’re still in training, haven’t quit your day job yet or aren’t making enough through coaching to cover basic business expenses (including working with a coach), then this probably isn’t the right program for you.

However, I can refer you to some budget-conscious resources and other coaches who specialize in helping newer coaches get established. Just shoot me an email and let me know what you want.

  2. You need to be focused on a specific niche. This high-performance marketing and signature coaching stuff works best when you’ve done your research and know 1) who your target market is; 2) what your target market wants; and 3) why they should choose you.

If you aren’t sure about your niche yet, your next step would be to get the Niche Toolkit for Coaches.

  3. You need to want success badly enough to master the marketing thing. To grow your business, you’ve got to grow yourself. That might mean stepping outside your comfort zone now and then – or it could mean knocking down walls, ripping off the roof and sleeping under the stars for the next 6-12 months.
Either way, we’re both going to work hard to get you and your business into high gear, and I promise it will be worth it.

However, if you’re hoping to somehow get clients without having to deal with your ‘stuff’ about marketing—well, that’s beyond my level of expertise.

I can take you through the process of getting past your stuff about marketing, but I have no idea how NOT to deal with it and still get to the results.

This next part’s important!
There are a couple of other things
about my approach that are different from the “norm”:
  • Unlimited coaching: I know – unlimited coaching?! Sounds pretty radical, but I’ve been doing this for several years now and my private coaching clients love it!

Unlimited coaching means just that – you get as much as you want, as often as you want. You determine how often and how long we meet (subject to prior scheduling, of course). The only rule is that to have more than one session in any given week, you must take action on your commitments between sessions.

P.S. You can also call or email me at any time with a quick question.
  • Retainer-based fees: While most coaches charge by the hour or by the session, my private coaching fee structure is retainer-based and varies from one package to another depending on the scope of our work together.

After the initial month, the fee stays constant regardless of the number of sessions or amount of time you use. At the end our initial agreement, you have the option of continuing on a month-to-month basis at the same rate.
  • Easy-peasy payment: We all have our kryptonite; mine is math (as in: bookkeeping, calculating how many cups in a quart, figuring out the tip after lunch, etc.). So I use an automated online payment system to keep the math thing as simple as possible for both you and me.

You can use either a debit or credit card (MasterCard or Visa) to pay for your coaching, and once it’s set up, the system automatically charges your card every 30 days for the length of your contract and sends you an email receipt for your records. Easy peasy!
  • Cancellations and refunds: I'm 100% confident that if you make full use of the resources and support that I share with you, your business will grow appreciably. But I also recognize that you're making a significant investment of time and money, and I want you to have a chance to experience what it's going to be like, without risk.

So if you decide that working together isn’t everything you were expecting, you can cancel any time within the first 30 days and I will gladly refund 100% of your pre-paid fees. If you wish to stop coaching after the first 30 days, let me know at least 24 hours prior to your next automatic payment and your account will not be charged further.

To cancel, simply send me an email saying you want to stop coaching, and we’ll part as friends. No drama, no hoops and no hard feelings.
  • Waiting list: Because of the level of personal access and attention that I offer my clients, I only work with a few people at a time. That means that sometimes there’s a waiting list; whoever’s at the top of the list gets first dibs on the next available spot.

Bottom line:  if you think you’ll be ready to work with me in the near future, you might want to let me know ASAP. (P.S. There’s no fee and no obligation to get on the list.)
“I want to hire you, Kathy! What happens next?”
If you’re ready to get started
, here’s how it works:
  1. Contact me for a free, no-obligation consultation to determine which coaching package best meets your needs and budget.
  2. We'll set up your payments and scheduling.
  3. Watch your inbox for a Welcome Kit, including an in-depth Business Snapshot Worksheet that you'll need to complete and forward to me at least 48 hours before your first coaching session.

P.S. Not quite ready to jump into a coaching program yet? No worries, there’s something for everyone! Browse the blog, enjoy the weekly eTips, or check out the self-study products on the Resources page. And feel free to ask me a question any time.

Jennifer Lynne Starr I will be forever appreciative of the gift Kathy gave me in her coaching. Her love, humor, tenaciousness and ballsy style of coaching was exactly what I needed to break through to a more powerful, self-expressive and truthful approach to my own life and business.

She is an amazing, adept, spiritually-centered coach that I highly recommended to anyone courageous enough to take their life to a more authentic and deeply satisfying level.
